~I Got Mail~

Well, actually better than mail.  I got a package!  The other day I told you about my being part of a dotty swap at Cutie Pie Cottage.  The package came from my partner in crime, sorry Jenny ;),   Wanna see what I got?

In my box were these three little gifts wrapped in dotty paper and a note to boot!!

Aloe infused socks.  I put these babies on right away!  I have extremely dry feet and, with my fibromyalgia, these definitely give one an aahhhh feeling.  Oh my.  I'm in heaven.

A pinkeep or more commonly known as a pincushion.  More about this in just a minute.

And then dotty note cards.  Handwritten notes are quickly becoming a thing of the past, aren't they?  But with something this cute, writing a quick note is a joy.  I think everyone needs to not only start a collection but use them, too!  Don't you think?

Jenny made this cute little pinkeep (or pincushion).  She used a dainty little bowl, dotty fabric and flower trim.  It is filled with some batting and so it is more for decorative purposes rather than for using.  I have a small collection of pinkeeps in my sewing/craft room so this one is going on the shelf with the others.

Thank you Jenny!  I so appreciate the gifts that you sent me.

I got my gifts to Jenny in the mail yesterday and, once I know she has them in hand, I'll show you what I sent her. ;)

This was so much fun.  I hope to get involved in some more swap parties in the future.

Have a wonderful weekend my friends~

Isn't it fun to receive things in the mail? I know what you mean about hand-written notes and letters. I used to write so many when I was young and then life grabs hold of you and sets you down years later scratching your head wondering where all the time went and when did those children grow up and wishing you had stayed in touch with so many people who you have no idea where they are today. Yes, I need to write more letters! Your gifts are just the sweetest! I wold love those aloe filled socks too! I have dry skin and RA! LOL! I wonder where she go those. I've never seen them. And the pin cushion or "pin keep" is just precious in that little dish. I can't wait to see what you sent! Have a great weekend! Hope you don't get this ice storm they're predicting for us in AR! Blessings and a big hug to keep you safe and warm.

Velma,
The pinkeep is filled with just a round of plain ole' foam, so use it if you wish :)
I am so glad you like the socks and the cards too.
I had a great time swapping with you and I will let you know as soon as your package arrives!

What a great little package! I got a pair of those socks in a Christmas gift and I LOVE them! That pincushion is super cute - I have a little collection of these myself.
And yes, sadly, handwritten notes are becoming a thing of the past.
