~Blogger Issues and Under the Weather~

I have been trying all week to put together a post but haven't been able to upload pictures!!  Apparently, it's  a problem that lots of bloggers are dealing with.  I don't use Picasa to upload pictures and have read that I must use Google Chrome or Firefox.  I don't like either one.  Anyone else having these issues and what have you done to overcome them?

Plus, I started getting sick (again) the other night and have come down with a nasty respiratory virus.  So, I'm feeling rather puny right now.

Just wanted to let you know that I haven't disappeared and hope to be back to blogging next week...in case you missed me. ;)

Stay warm!!

Hi sweet Velma...I'm hearing this a lot around blog land...I've heard the solution is to not use Internet Explorer for getting on the internet...use Google Chrome or Firefox to get on the internet. You will have to download one or the other though....xxoo, Dawn

Velma,
I've missed you! I hope you are feeling better....SOON!
The muslin star decorations you made are wonderful. They turned out perfectly!
I had the same problem with pictures. Did download Google Chrome, as several suggested, and I really do like it.
Before that, I used to delete pictures from my Picasa album and fit new pictures in that way.
I'm pretty tech-limited, so maybe I'll find out stuff about Chrome that I don't like later, but for right now, I feel like I have a new computer!
Blessings. Going to go back and look at the muslin stars again...

I did not want to use Chrome, either, but I am so glad I did. I post now in a 1/3 of the time it used to take me on Explorer. When you download it, it will ask you if you want to import all your favorites from Explorer, and tell it "YES". They will be on the left-hand, not right-hand of your screen afterwards. It used to take each of my pictures five minutes to load (we are in the country). I can do a whole post in fifteen minutes now! Try it! You'll learn it's easy to use. Good luck! (and I'm not a techie, either)

Oh Velma,
I'm so sorry that you are feeling poorly.
Praying for you to feel better soon.

Sounds like there is advice out there for how to get Blogger to work.
My question is; what will the next glitch be?
So far, Blogger has changed a lot, and every time, it throws a wrench in the works.
It's frustrating, and quite frankly, I am tired of them changing the rule.

Thank you for your sweet friendship.
I'll continue to read and comment on your posts.

Get well soon, my friend.

love,
K.

Velma, when I saw your name, I thought..I haven't seen her for a while. I use firefox and safari, so have as of yet escaped the problem you and so many people have had...Sounds like your first priority, your health..From what I hear you have a lot of company!!

Hello--Sorry to hear that you are under the weather.
So much of that going on.

The issue is Internet Explorer not Blogger as we all think. Blogger is a Google product that is why it works best with Google Chrome. Info from the Techie husband.

I did my post this morning in Internet Explorer through the Html
yes, it was a pain and I only had one picture but I got it done.

May switch the Chrome we'll see.

Have a nice Sunday!

Hi Velma, I'm sorry to read that you are sick plus having problems with Blogger. I hope you are feeling better soon. It's been a while since I've stopped by so thought I would say hello and catch up with you blog. I wish I could help you with Blogger but I'm afraid I can't. I hope you get things sorted out soon. Take good care of yourself. Maura (Lilac Lane Cottage) :-)

You don't have to switch browsers to get around the most recent glitch with Blogger. I use Internet Explorer, too, and I am too stubborn at this point to get used to using another browser. To upload photos while composing a blog post, I switch from 'Compose' to 'html' mode. This allows me to upload up to five photos at once, browsing and adding each to the upload screen. It's a bit of a pain, but at least it's a work-around so we can continue to blog and use photos until Blogger decides that it's going to fix the bug.

I have not had that problem in the past, but I did last night when I posted. I prefer Explorer, but it's a good thing I have Chrome too, I will probably just use it to post. I hope Explorer, or blogger or whoever is having a problem gets their act together!

Hi Velma. Hope you are feeling better. I have used Google Chrome and Picasa since I started blogging. I have never had any problems on my end. All my pics load very fast. BUT, that being said, I am getting reports from some of my followers that my pics are taking a really long time to load when they look at them and that the blog kind of jumps around when they try to leave a comment. I don't know that much about anything technical, so I hope someone out there might..Happy Tuesday..Judy
